This kit converts old Tempur-pedic PREMIER or GRANDE bases only with an easy-to-install control box that just requires removing two motor plugs under the bed and plugging them into the new unit. This kit includes a new wireless remote to control your head and foot motors: Head Up, Head Down, Foot up, and Foot Down and features a built in flashlight and remote backlighting. THIS WILL NOT OPERATE YOUR MASSAGE OR PRESET BUTTONS FROM YOUR OLD REMOTE - IF YOU NEED THOSE FEATURES, WE SELL THOSE KITS AT AN EXTRA CHARGE (Due to supply chain issues, the remote you will receive with this kit will be the white 8 button shown in our picture. Used to replace a lost or broken remote when there are no more replacements available or in budget since these original remotes shown have been discontinued.This kit includes all the wiring and adapter plugs needed to make your conversion. Total installation should take no more than 5 minutes but it does require tipping the bed on its side or sliding under the bed to unplug the head and foot motor cords from the old control box (red and white plugs) and plugging in to the new one. If you want to ensure that this model is compatible you must match your old remote with the picture above.We send detailed instructions but if you can plug in a toaster, you can plug in this kit! Kit Includes:1) Conversion Control Box with Wire Harnesses and a Power Supply Cable/Transformer Box with built in heat resistance, short circuit protection, and electromatic wave reduction. 1) Wireless Remote Control (due to supply chain issues, your remote will have extra buttons; Memory and FLAT, that will not work since the presets for this kit do not convert. We also sell deluxe and premium kits with massage and or presets for $150 to $250 more - contact us for info) - We program this prior to shipping so just plug in the kit after it’s installed and the remote will work. We can sell replacement remotes for $70 more, but only one remote can pair at a time per base. Split Kings require two kits.2) Large Zip Tie Cables to secure the new boxes under the bedRecommended Items to have prior to install:1) Surge Protector. This can be a power strip or single box, but its important to make sure the words "Surge Protector" or some variant are on the unit. Usually you can buy both at walmart but the power strip without surge protection is a dollar or two less.
