The NOK HUUK is an owl made of Suar wood - hand carved, sitting on a tree stump, with a round table top on its head. No attached table, no glued part: The owl, stump and table top are made from a single block of Suar wood. At a height of approx. 50 cm and a table top with a diameter of 30 cm, it is the side table that you place next to the sofa - functional as a storage surface, in character a small sculpture. ✋ Everything from a single block - no connections Carving an owl from a block is more challenging than a simple trunk: head, body, eyes and feathers - all details from the same piece of wood, all in the right proportion. This requires experience and a block that is large and error-free enough for this work. The result: no glue joints, no plug connections, no visible.
