The surface is slightly textured, so it is not shiny and has the look of authentic Japanese paper. It's durable, stain-resistant and surface washable with damp cloth. vintage 4-panel folding screen made of wood -- it has a multi-media print on one side, after Emanuel Mattini: very similar to one of his Musical Instrument/Orchestral series of paintings/prints -- unsigned however -- this print appears to be lithographed, with colored and hand-painted lacquered wood and relief decorations -- the back has a mottled 'starburst' like patterning on a gold wash -- the overall style is reminiscent of the Mid-Century Modern creations of Fornasetti Studios -- -- measures 6 ft tall by about 66 in. wide unfolded // about 5 in. thick folded by 16 in. wide -- from the estate of a musician who used it to isolate himself when practicing-- -- -- a few chips on the underside of the tail edge / a pressure ding along the side / a few pressure 'ring' dings to the finish coat here and there -- overall smudging to the underside -- some wear from use basically -- -- we are always listing interesting Works of Art, Tech and History -- -- ***** -- Free Local pick-up is an option.
